Optimal Time Allocation for Energy Harvesting Cognitive Radio Networks with Multichannel Spectrum Sensing

From the perspective of time domain and frequency domain, we investigate energy harvesting cognitive radio networks (EH-CRNs) with multichannel, where secondary transmitter (ST) opportunistically accesses licensed subchannels to transmit packets by consuming harvested energy. To explore spectrum holes improve lifetime EH-CRNs, ST scavenges from radio-frequency (RF) signal in wide band during (EH) phase exploits for sequential sensing packet transmission rest slot. Under constraint, throughput is improved optimizing allocation among EH phase, phase. We formulate respect durations three phases, prove existence optimal allocation, discuss cases EH-CRNs. Finally, numerical results validate theoretical about impacts key system parameters.
